We’re proud to offer this rare collection of seed-grown Japanese Maples, each with its own unique character, colour, and growth potential. Unlike grafted varieties, these trees are grown from seed, meaning every one is genetically distinct — a true one-of-a-kind.
This seed-grown maple stands at approximately 700mm high, with a slender, upright habit and fine branching concentrated near the top. The foliage is transitioning into seasonal tones, with soft green leaves showing hints of bronze and burgundy as they begin their autumn change. The naturally sparse appearance at this time of year highlights the tree’s elegant framework, setting the stage for a graceful silhouette through winter and lush regrowth in spring.
Each tree in this collection has its own natural variation in growth habit, leaf shape, colour patterns, and seasonal changes. It’s an exciting opportunity to own a Japanese Maple that no one else has — with the possibility of discovering something truly exceptional.
Japanese Maples are deciduous trees, which means they lose their leaves in autumn and winter. As the seasons change, the foliage will naturally begin to turn brown and crisp before dropping entirely. This is a normal and healthy part of their cycle. During winter, the trees will be bare, but this is actually the best time to plant. Cooler conditions reduce stress and allow the root system to settle in and establish, setting the stage for strong, healthy growth when spring arrives.
