We’re proud to offer this rare collection of seed-grown Japanese Maples, each with its own unique character, colour, and growth potential. Unlike grafted varieties, these trees are grown from seed, meaning every one is genetically distinct — a true one-of-a-kind. Selected from the legacy of a grower who began importing Japanese Maples into Australia in the 1970s, these trees represent decades of careful cultivation.
JP27 stands at approximately 800mm high and has a slender upright habit with soft lateral branching. Its finely divided foliage features narrow lobes and red-toned stems, with the leaves shifting from green to warm orange-red as dormancy sets in. Most of the foliage is showing late-autumn crisping, with the last bursts of colour still holding on. While it's heading toward winter bare-branching, the elegant structure and tapering form suggest excellent future development as a compact feature tree.
Each tree in this collection has its own natural variation in growth habit, leaf shape, colour patterns, and seasonal changes. It’s an exciting opportunity to own a Japanese Maple that no one else has — with the possibility of discovering something truly exceptional.
