Dietes grandiflora Grand Star™ is an improved form of the popular African Iris, valued for its attractive strappy foliage, exceptional toughness, and greatly reduced seed production. Unlike the common form, Grand Star™ has a very low pollen count and rarely produces viable seed, making it a more garden-friendly choice for residential and commercial landscapes.
This evergreen perennial forms neat clumps of arching foliage and produces elegant white iris-like flowers with delicate yellow and violet markings. Highly tolerant of drought, heat, humidity, frost, and a wide range of soil conditions, Grand Star™ is an outstanding low-maintenance plant for modern landscapes, mass plantings, borders, and public spaces.
