Elaeocarpus obovatus (Hard Quandong) is an attractive, medium-sized evergreen tree native to Australia. It features dense, glossy green foliage with a slightly rounded shape, making it an excellent choice for gardens, parks, and streetscapes. During spring and summer, it produces delicate white to cream flowers that are highly attractive to birds and pollinators.
Following the flowering period, Elaeocarpus obovatus develops striking blue fruits, which provide food for native wildlife. This hardy tree thrives in various soil types, tolerates humidity and coastal conditions, and requires minimal maintenance once established.
