Eucalyptus pilularis, commonly known as Blackbutt, is a tall evergreen tree reaching heights of up to 70 metres. It features fibrous grey-brown bark on the lower trunk and smooth cream to grey bark above, often marked with natural insect scribbles. Juvenile leaves are lance-shaped and dull green, while adult foliage is glossy green, alternately arranged, and lance-shaped or slightly curved. Clusters of white flowers appear mainly from January to April and October to December, followed by woody capsule fruits
This fast-growing tree is ideal for large gardens, parks, and reforestation projects. Its durable timber and low-maintenance evergreen foliage make it suitable for landscaping, windbreaks, and habitat creation for native fauna
