Hibbertia scandens ‘STRAIGHT UP™’ is a hardy and versatile native Australian selection of guinea flower, bred for a more upright, structured growth habit compared to the typical scrambling form. It can be grown as a climber with support or as a free-standing shrub, making it highly adaptable in landscape design.
This selection produces abundant bright yellow, five-petalled flowers almost year-round, creating continuous colour and strong visual impact. In cooler months, the foliage can take on attractive purple tinges, adding seasonal variation to its appearance.
Highly resilient, STRAIGHT UP™ performs well in coastal conditions, sandy soils, drought-prone areas, and regions with moderate frost, making it an excellent low-maintenance option for screening, fencing, and feature planting.
