Lomandra hystrix ‘Lucky Stripe™’ is an outstanding ornamental grass-like Australian native valued for its bold variegated foliage and exceptional landscape durability. It forms strong, clump-growing tufts of arching leaves with striking cream longitudinal stripes set against grey-green tones, creating year-round colour and texture in the garden.
New foliage emerges upright from the centre before cascading gracefully outward, giving the plant a soft, fountain-like habit. In spring and early summer, it produces small, fragrant pale green-yellow flower clusters that add seasonal interest without detracting from its foliage display.
Highly resilient and adaptable, Lucky Stripe™ is ideal for erosion control, mass planting, borders, commercial landscapes, and modern native gardens.
