NAFRAY® Cenchrus is a refined Australian native ornamental grass selected for its compact growth, fine texture, and excellent drought tolerance. Compared to the common form, it has a tidier habit, better winter colour, and improved performance in both dry landscapes and wetter conditions such as rain gardens and bioswales.
From summer through autumn, it produces soft, feathery flower plumes that add movement and texture to garden designs. Its strong adaptability and low-maintenance nature make it ideal for mass planting, modern landscapes, and ecological plantings.
This variety is also valued for its resilience in challenging sites, though in ideal wet or highly irrigated conditions it may regenerate from seed. Removing spent flower heads can prevent unwanted self-seeding if required.
