Acer Palmatum (Japanese Maple Standards) is an elegant deciduous feature tree trained with a clear, upright trunk and a refined rounded or softly layered canopy. Its delicate, deeply lobed green foliage creates a light and graceful appearance throughout spring and summer before developing brilliant shades of yellow, orange and red during autumn. The standard form provides attractive structure without occupying excessive space at ground level, making it ideal for creating a striking garden focal point.
Perfect for entrances, courtyards, formal gardens, Japanese-inspired landscapes and large decorative containers, this Japanese Maple adds premium seasonal colour and architectural interest. It performs best in moist, well-drained soil in a sheltered position with morning sun or part shade. Protection from harsh afternoon sun and hot, drying winds will help maintain healthy, unscorched foliage.
