These seedlings were grown from the spectacular Acer Palmatum ‘Osakazuki’ (Japanese Maple – Osakazuki), renowned for producing some of the most intense autumn colour of any Japanese Maple. The parent tree is noted for its large leaves, upright habit, and brilliant crimson-red tones late in the season. Seedlings from ‘Osakazuki’ often display strong growth, bold foliage, and vibrant colour transitions — from soft green in spring and summer to dazzling scarlet in autumn.

A Japanese Maple is a standout addition to any garden, offering year-round interest with stunning foliage that transforms through all four seasons. However, due to the time-intensive growing and grafting process, they can often be quite expensive. These seed-grown ‘Osakazuki’ seedlings provide an affordable way to enjoy this legendary variety and are also excellent for training as bonsai thanks to their strong structure and reliable growth pattern.

With good care, they can reach mature height over approximately 10–15 years, depending on conditions and maintenance.

Please note: each plant is unique and may not be fully root bound at the time of purchase. The plant details below are based on the typical characteristics of the parent variety and may vary slightly between seedlings.
