These seedlings were grown from the classic Acer Palmatum ‘Bloodgood’ (Japanese Maple – Bloodgood), admired worldwide for its rich burgundy foliage and strong upright form. While each seedling is genetically unique, many will inherit the parent’s deep red tones and elegant branching, with some showing variations of bronze or green hues as they mature.

A Japanese Maple is a standout addition to any garden, offering year-round interest with stunning foliage that changes through all four seasons. However, due to the time-intensive growing and grafting process, they can often be quite expensive. These seed-grown ‘Bloodgood’ seedlings provide an affordable way to enjoy the beauty of this striking variety while growing your own tree from the beginning. They are also excellent for training as bonsai, displaying fine branching and vibrant seasonal colour.

With good care, they can reach mature height over approximately 10–15 years, depending on conditions and maintenance.

Please note: each plant is unique and may not be fully root bound at the time of purchase. The plant details below are based on the typical characteristics of the parent variety and may vary slightly between seedlings.
