Acorus Gramineus ‘Variegatus’ is an attractive, moisture-loving perennial valued for its slender, grass-like foliage striped in fresh green and creamy white. Its softly arching leaves form neat, fountain-shaped clumps that brighten shaded areas, damp garden beds and pond edges. The foliage may also release a light, sweet fragrance when crushed.
Ideal for water gardens, borders and mass planting, Japanese Sweet Flag provides dependable colour and texture throughout the year in warmer climates. It thrives in consistently moist or boggy soil and can tolerate shallow standing water, making it an excellent choice for areas where many ordinary garden plants struggle. Its compact habit and low-maintenance nature also make it suitable for containers and groundcover planting.
