Adenanthos cunninghamii 'Lighthouse' (Lighthouse Albany Woolly Bush) is a compact and ornamental Australian native cultivar prized for its soft, silvery-green foliage and upright, columnar growth habit. This selected form features the same fine, needle-like leaves covered in soft hairs as the species, giving it a distinctive "woolly" texture and attractive silvery appearance, but in a more narrow, space-saving form. The dense, vertical habit makes it ideal for screening and adding structural interest to garden designs.
Ideal for coastal gardens, narrow spaces, and water-wise landscapes, 'Lighthouse' thrives in well-drained soils and full sun. It demonstrates excellent tolerance to coastal conditions, including salt spray and wind, once established. This low-maintenance shrub is particularly valued for its unique texture, vertical form, and ability to provide year-round silvery colour with minimal water requirements.
