Agave parryi (Parry’s Agave)

Agave parryi, commonly known as Parry’s Agave, is a striking architectural succulent that forms a compact, symmetrical rosette of thick, silvery-blue to grey-green leaves. Each leaf features prominent dark marginal teeth and a sharp brown-to-black terminal spine, providing strong year-round colour and structure. Its sculptural appearance makes it an outstanding feature for decorative pots, rock gardens, xeriscapes and contemporary landscapes.

Slow-growing, drought-tolerant and exceptionally low-maintenance, Parry’s Agave is ideal for gardeners seeking a hardy plant with lasting visual impact. Once mature, it may produce a spectacular towering stalk of golden-yellow flowers during summer. The flowering rosette eventually dies, but established plants usually produce offsets that continue the display. Position away from paths and children’s play areas because of its sharp spines.
