Anigozanthos Hybrid 'Bush Merlot' (Bush Merlot Kangaroo Paw) is a striking Australian native perennial prized for its naturally compact, bushy habit and masses of distinctive deep purple to purple-magenta flowers. The unusual tubular blooms are held above upright, strappy green foliage, creating a bold architectural display while providing an excellent nectar source for honeyeaters and other native birds.
Hardy and waterwise once established, Anigozanthos Hybrid 'Bush Merlot' (Bush Merlot Kangaroo Paw) performs best in full sun and well-drained soil. It is a free-flowering variety with strong garden performance and can also be grown successfully in containers. Its compact habit, vibrant flowers and low-maintenance nature make it an excellent choice for native gardens, borders, mass planting and feature displays.
