Atractocarpus fitzalanii, commonly known as Brown Gardenia or Native Gardenia, is a beautiful Australian evergreen shrub or small tree admired for its glossy green foliage, fragrant white flowers, and ornamental yellow fruit. Flowering throughout much of the year, this versatile native brings lasting beauty, fragrance, and wildlife interest to gardens of all styles.
Naturally tolerant of heat, humidity, and periods of drought once established, Brown Gardenia is ideal as a feature tree, informal hedge, privacy screen, or specimen plant. Its dense foliage provides excellent screening while the sweetly scented blooms attract bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators. Suitable for both tropical and subtropical gardens, it thrives in full sun to dappled shade and adapts well to a range of well-drained soils.

Maintenance
Low maintenance; plant in fertile, well-drained soil and water regularly during establishment. Once established, it becomes drought tolerant.
