Banksia ‘Birdsong’ is a compact, evergreen Australian native shrub prized for its dense growth habit and striking cylindrical flower spikes. Its fine-textured foliage forms a naturally rounded shape, making it ideal for smaller gardens, containers, and low hedging where year-round structure and seasonal colour are desired.
From autumn through winter, it produces bold flower spikes that emerge as golden-yellow buds and mature into rich burnt orange to red tones. These nectar-rich blooms are highly attractive to native birds and pollinators, bringing movement, sound, and wildlife activity into the garden.
