Beaucarnea recurvata ‘Ponytail Multi Planted’ – Ponytail Palm

Beaucarnea recurvata ‘Ponytail Multi Planted’, commonly known as Ponytail Palm or Elephant’s Foot, is a distinctive architectural plant prized for its swollen trunk bases and graceful, cascading foliage. Despite its palm-like appearance, it is not a true palm and belongs to the asparagus family.

The characteristic bulbous trunk stores water, making this plant exceptionally well adapted to dry conditions and relatively easy to care for. Long, narrow green leaves emerge from the top of the trunk, creating a fountain-like display. The multi-planted form provides a fuller, more dramatic appearance and is particularly effective as a decorative indoor feature.

When grown outdoors in suitable warm climates, Ponytail Palms can eventually develop into impressive specimen trees, while container-grown indoor plants generally remain much smaller. Mature outdoor plants may produce tall summer flower clusters of small white blooms.
