Billardiera Scandens (Common Apple Berry)

Billardiera Scandens (Common Apple Berry) is a charming Australian native climber or sprawling shrub valued for its fine, hairy foliage and delicate bell-shaped flowers. The greenish-yellow to cream blooms develop a pink tinge as they age, followed by attractive hairy berries that ripen to yellow, brown or purple tones. Its versatile growth makes it suitable for climbing over supports, hanging baskets, rockeries or naturalistic garden beds.

Easy to grow in well-drained soil, Common Apple Berry performs well in full sun or partial shade and is hardy once established. Its non-invasive habit, edible fruit and wildlife value make it a versatile choice for native gardens, while its compact form also suits smaller spaces and containers.
