Bougainvillea × Buttiana ‘Mrs Butt’ (Mrs Butt Bougainvillea)

Bougainvillea × Buttiana ‘Mrs Butt’ is a vigorous evergreen climber prized for its spectacular clusters of crimson-red to rich magenta papery bracts. These vivid bracts surround tiny cream-white flowers and contrast beautifully against the plant’s fresh green, oval-shaped foliage. Its fast-growing habit makes it an excellent choice for covering fences, pergolas, arches and other large garden structures with long-lasting tropical colour.

Hardy and drought tolerant once established, ‘Mrs Butt’ thrives in warm, sunny gardens with freely draining soil. It may also be trained as a large flowering shrub or informal screen and responds well to pruning after flowering. Customers will appreciate its rapid coverage, impressive seasonal display and reliable performance in hot and coastal conditions.
