Sun tolerance
Full sun to partial shade. Morning sun with protection from intense afternoon heat is beneficial in hot locations. Deep shade may produce thinner, less compact growth.
Maintenance
Low to moderate. Water regularly while establishing and during prolonged dry weather. Clip several times during the growing season to maintain the rounded canopy, and apply a balanced fertiliser during spring.
Root System
Shallow and fibrous. Prefers cool, well-drained soil and should not be planted in waterlogged conditions. Apply mulch around the root zone while keeping it clear of the trunk.
