Camellia sasanqua ‘Paradise Petite Sylvia’ is a charming compact evergreen camellia originating in New South Wales, Australia. Developed by R.J. Cherry as a seedling of ‘Yuletide’, this cultivar is admired for its dense, miniature growth habit and striking deep red single flowers.
The blooms reach approximately 5.5cm across and may feature subtle white blotches, creating an attractive contrast against the glossy, deep green foliage. Flowering occurs in the early to mid-season, providing a vibrant display when many other garden plants are beginning to slow down. Its compact habit makes it particularly suitable for smaller gardens, containers, borders, and feature planting.
