Centaurea ‘Silver Fountain’ is a striking ornamental perennial grown primarily for its soft, finely dissected silver-grey foliage, which emerges from the base in a graceful, fountain-like form. The foliage alone provides excellent contrast in garden beds, borders, and mixed plantings.
In spring, delicate mauve to purple flowers rise above the silvery leaves, adding a gentle pop of colour without overpowering the foliage. Exceptionally hardy and tolerant of neglect, this easy-care plant thrives in sunny, well-drained positions and performs well in dry or low-maintenance gardens.
