Cerastium tomentosum, commonly known as Snow-in-Summer, is a low-growing perennial groundcover prized for its dense silver-grey foliage and profusion of bright white flowers. In late spring to early summer, it produces a carpet of star-like blooms that create a striking “snowfall” effect across the landscape.
This hardy, spreading plant forms a soft, mat-like cover that is ideal for rock gardens, borders, slopes, and dry, sunny areas. Extremely drought-tolerant once established, it thrives in poor soils and adds year-round texture with its silvery evergreen foliage.
