Chaenomeles Speciosa ‘Nivalis’ (White Flowering Quince)

Chaenomeles Speciosa ‘Nivalis’ is a beautiful deciduous shrub prized for its masses of pure white flowers that appear on bare branches in early spring. The abundant blooms create a brilliant display at a time when most gardens are still emerging from winter, making it a valuable source of early-season colour.

Following flowering, the shrub produces fragrant greenish-yellow fruits that ripen in autumn. While too tart to eat fresh, the fruit is excellent for preserves and jellies. Its spreading habit, thorny branches, and seasonal interest make it ideal for hedging, borders, and cottage-style gardens.
