Citrus × Limonia ‘Rangpur’ is a vigorous evergreen citrus tree prized for its colourful fruit, attractive foliage and excellent garden performance. It develops glossy green leaves, fragrant white flowers with purple-tinged buds and abundant small to medium fruit that ripens from green to vivid orange-red. Although it resembles a mandarin, the juicy orange flesh has an intensely tangy, aromatic flavour similar to a lime.
Rangpur Lime is an excellent choice for home orchards, edible gardens and large containers. Its highly acidic juice and fragrant rind are ideal for drinks, marinades, sauces, desserts and marmalade. More cold-tolerant than many true limes and easily maintained with regular feeding and light pruning, this productive citrus offers both ornamental appeal and a distinctive home-grown harvest.
