Citrus × tangelo ‘Seminole’ is a hybrid citrus resulting from the cross between a mandarin (Citrus reticulata) and a pomelo or grapefruit (Citrus maxima or C. paradisi). This combination produces a medium-to-large, fist-sized fruit with a distinctive “nipple” at the stem, loose skin, and easy-to-peel segments.
The fruit is juicy, with a bright, tangy-tart flavour, perfect for fresh eating, juicing, or as a substitute for mandarins and sweet oranges in recipes. The tree is evergreen, moderately compact, and displays glossy green foliage along with fragrant white flowers in spring and summer, making it both an ornamental and edible addition to gardens.
