Corizema cordatum, commonly known as the Heart-leaf Flame Pea, is a striking Western Australian native climber or shrub. It captivates with vivid, neon-like orange and magenta pea-shaped flowers that appear in profusion, resembling a shower of glowing embers. Its heart-shaped leaves and cascading blooms make it a showstopper in cooler or shadier parts of the garden.
This hardy native prefers well-drained soils and can tolerate partial shade, making it ideal for adding a burst of tropical-like color where other plants may struggle. The plant is low-maintenance and responds well to light pruning after flowering to maintain shape and encourage more blooms.
