Cornus alba ‘Sibirica’ (Siberian Dogwood)

Cornus alba ‘Sibirica’, commonly known as Siberian Dogwood or Red Stem Dogwood, is a deciduous shrub valued for its vivid red stems and attractive seasonal foliage. Its fresh green leaves develop reddish to purple tones in autumn before falling, revealing the brilliant red stems that provide outstanding colour and structure throughout winter.

In late spring, clusters of small creamy-white flowers appear, followed by attractive pale berries. The plant develops a dense, spreading habit and responds well to hard pruning, which encourages fresh young stems and maintains the strongest winter colour. It is an excellent choice for borders, screening, hedging and feature planting, particularly where year-round seasonal interest is desired.
