Cotyledon Macrantha (Paddle Plant) is a striking evergreen succulent prized for its thick, fleshy, paddle-shaped green leaves highlighted by attractive red margins. Developing into a dense, rounded plant, it adds bold texture and year-round colour to rock gardens, dry garden beds, borders and containers. In winter to early spring, upright flower stems rise above the foliage carrying eye-catching orange-red, bell-shaped flowers.
Hardy and easy to maintain, Cotyledon Macrantha is an excellent choice for gardeners wanting a low-water, drought-tolerant feature plant. It performs best in full sun to part shade and requires free-draining soil, making it especially suitable for succulent gardens, xeriscape-style plantings and pots. Once established, it requires minimal watering and maintenance.
