Crassula perforata, commonly known as String of Buttons, is an ideal succulent for beginners or forgetful plant owners. Its distinctive stacked appearance comes from square or triangular gray-green leaves that spiral around the stem, forming a striking layered effect. With sufficient sunlight, the leaves may develop attractive pink hues, adding seasonal colour and visual interest.
Fast-growing and versatile, String of Buttons can be grown indoors in pots or outdoors during spring and summer in well-drained soil. In spring, the plant produces small, charming yellow to white flowers that enhance its ornamental appeal.
