Cuphea hyssopifolia 'Cocktail', commonly known as Cocktail False Heather. This compact evergreen shrub produces an abundance of delicate flowers in shades of purple, lavender, pink, and white over an exceptionally long flowering season, creating a colourful display from spring through autumn and often beyond in warm climates. Its dense, bushy habit and small glossy leaves make it ideal for borders, edging, containers, mass plantings, and low informal hedges, while attracting bees and butterflies.
Cocktail False Heather thrives in full sun to part shade and grows best in fertile, well-drained soil. Easy to maintain and tolerant of heat and humidity, it responds well to light pruning, encouraging compact growth and continuous flowering. Its long blooming period, attractive foliage, and versatility make it an excellent choice for cottage, tropical, and contemporary gardens.
