Darwinia citriodora ‘Prostrate’ is a low-growing Australian native shrub valued for its compact, spreading habit, aromatic blue-green foliage and vibrant orange-red flowers. When brushed or crushed, the foliage releases a refreshing lemon-like fragrance, adding a delightful sensory element to the garden.
Growing to around 30–50cm high while spreading broadly, this prostrate form is an excellent choice for groundcover, rockeries, garden borders, retaining walls and containers. It performs best in well-drained soil with full sun to partial shade and brings strong colour and texture to low-maintenance native landscapes.
