Diospyros kaki ‘Ichi-Ki-Kei-Jiro’, commonly known as Ichi-Ki-Kei-Jiro Persimmon, is a premium non-astringent Asian persimmon variety prized for its excellent fruit quality and early ripening. It produces sweet, crisp, tomato-shaped fruit that can be eaten firm off the tree.
This grafted selection has a compact, upright growth habit, making it ideal for small gardens, backyard orchards, and intensive fruit plantings. In spring it produces subtle blooms, followed by a reliable autumn harvest of high-quality edible fruit.
