Einadia hastata (Hastate Saltbush) is a low-growing perennial shrub with prostrate or ascending stems, forming dense mats ideal for groundcover in coastal, arid, or low-maintenance gardens. Its triangular to broad-triangular leaves, up to 4 cm long, are typically glabrous and petiolate, offering a soft, green texture across the landscape.
This hardy Australian native produces small, bisexual flowers with one or two stamens, adding subtle floral interest. Hastate Saltbush is tolerant of a wide range of soils and is particularly suited to sandy or rocky areas, making it excellent for erosion control, borders, or wildlife-friendly plantings
