Epidendrum radicans (Crucifix Orchid)

Epidendrum radicans, commonly known as Crucifix Orchid, is a vigorous terrestrial or lithophytic orchid valued for its long, cane-like stems, fleshy green foliage and clusters of bright orange flowers with contrasting yellow centres. The distinctive flowers are produced at the ends of the stems, creating a colourful and long-lasting display that attracts butterflies and other beneficial insects.

A versatile orchid, Crucifix Orchid performs well in full sun to part shade and can be grown in pots, hanging baskets, rockeries or sheltered garden positions. It prefers excellent drainage and regular moisture during active growth, while its naturally vigorous habit makes it useful for creating a lush flowering feature.
