Escallonia langleyensis ‘Red Knight’, commonly known as Red Knight Escallonia, is a compact evergreen shrub prized for its glossy green foliage and abundant clusters of deep cerise-red flowers. The dense, rounded habit provides attractive year-round structure, while the vibrant blooms add colour from spring through autumn.
Hardy and adaptable, Red Knight is an excellent choice for flowering hedges, screening, borders and feature planting. It performs well in full sun to part shade, tolerates coastal conditions, wind and frost, and requires relatively little water once established. Light pruning after flowering helps maintain a dense, tidy shape and encourages fresh growth.
