Geranium Pelargonium citrosum – Citronella Geranium

Pelargonium citrosum is a fragrant perennial sub-shrub valued for its finely divided, fern-like foliage and refreshing citrus-like scent. The aromatic leaves add texture and sensory interest to garden beds, containers and borders, while small clusters of violet-lavender flowers appear during summer.

Despite its common association with citronella, this plant should not be relied upon as a mosquito-repelling plant. Its attractive foliage and compact, spreading habit make it a useful ornamental groundcover and a charming addition to herb and sensory gardens.
