Grevillea juniperina 'Prostrate' (Prostrate Juniper Grevillea) is a low-growing Australian native shrub valued for its spreading habit and vibrant, spider-like flowers. This prostrate form features dense, prickly foliage similar to juniper, with leaves that range from green to bronzed tones. The plant produces abundant red or yellow flowers (depending on the variety) throughout much of the year, providing a valuable nectar source for honeyeaters and other native birds.
Ideal for groundcover, rockeries, slopes, and cascading over walls, this grevillea thrives in well-drained soils and full sun to partial shade. It is drought-tolerant once established and requires minimal maintenance. The prickly foliage also makes it useful as a low-level barrier plant, while its spreading habit helps suppress weeds and prevent soil erosion.
