Hardenbergia Violacea ‘HB1’ MEEMA™ (Meema Native Sarsaparilla) is a tough Australian native groundcover valued for its tidy evergreen foliage, compact shrubby habit and masses of rich purple pea-shaped flowers. Unlike many traditional Hardenbergia forms, MEEMA™ maintains a neater appearance and is longer lived, making it especially useful for landscape planting, garden borders, embankments and feature groundcover. Flowering heavily from winter into early spring, MEEMA™ creates a vibrant seasonal display while providing year-round structure with its clean green foliage. It performs well in full sun to semi shade, tolerates a wide range of soils and handles both cold and dry conditions once established. It can also creep over low structures if allowed, giving customers flexibility as either a groundcover or informal climber.
