Pot Size

Hibiscus tiliaceus, commonly known as Cottonwood Hibiscus, is a fast-growing evergreen shrub or small tree valued for its lush, tropical appearance and generous shade. Its broad, heart-shaped green leaves create a dense canopy, while large yellow hibiscus flowers with deep crimson centres provide a striking seasonal display. The flowers gradually deepen to orange and red before falling, often creating several colours across the plant at once.

Naturally suited to warm coastal environments, Cottonwood Hibiscus tolerates salt spray, wind, sandy soils and occasional waterlogging. It is an excellent choice for screening, windbreaks, shade, erosion control or as an attractive feature tree in spacious gardens. Its vigorous growth and naturally spreading form can be maintained through regular pruning.
