Juniperus chinensis ‘Spartan’ (Spartan Chinese Juniper Standards)

Juniperus chinensis ‘Spartan’, commonly known as Spartan Chinese Juniper, is a striking evergreen conifer valued for its narrow, upright growth habit and dense, rich green foliage. Its naturally columnar form creates a neat, architectural silhouette that adds height, structure and year-round greenery to gardens. When grown as a standard, it features a clear trunk topped with a carefully shaped, compact crown, making it an elegant choice for formal landscaping and contemporary outdoor spaces.

Ideal for entryways, pathways, formal gardens, courtyards and large decorative pots, Juniperus chinensis ‘Spartan’ is a hardy, low-maintenance conifer that thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Its drought tolerance once established and naturally tidy growth make it suitable for structured garden designs, symmetrical plantings and feature displays. These standards provide a sophisticated vertical accent while maintaining their attractive green foliage throughout the year.
