Justicia aurea, commonly known as Yellow Jacobinia, is an upright evergreen shrub admired for its bold foliage and vibrant floral spikes. It produces large, deep green ovate leaves that create a lush tropical backdrop, making it an excellent structural plant in warm-climate gardens.
From mid to late summer, it produces dense, upright plumes of bright yellow tubular flowers that attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Its strong architectural form and extended flowering period make it ideal for tropical borders, foundation plantings, containers, and sheltered garden spaces.
