Lagerstroemia 'Comanche' (Comanche Crepe Myrtle) is a stunning deciduous shrub or small tree prized for its vibrant flower display and attractive peeling bark. This cultivar produces large panicles of vivid coral-pink flowers that create a spectacular show throughout summer. The dark green foliage turns to brilliant orange and red shades in autumn, providing multi-season interest. The smooth, mottled bark in shades of grey and brown adds winter appeal, making this a true four-season plant.
Ideal as a feature plant, in borders, or for avenue planting, 'Comanche' thrives in well-drained soil and full sun. It demonstrates good drought tolerance once established and is resistant to powdery mildew. This crepe myrtle is particularly valued for its prolonged flowering period, excellent autumn colour, and ornamental bark that provides year-round interest.
