Lamium maculatum 'Beacon Silver', commonly known as Beacon Silver Dead Nettle. This attractive evergreen perennial is prized for its striking silver foliage edged in green, creating year-round visual interest even when not in flower. In spring and summer, clusters of soft pink to mauve flowers emerge above the foliage, attracting bees and other beneficial pollinators. Its low-growing, spreading habit makes it ideal for borders, woodland gardens, underplanting, hanging baskets, and as an attractive groundcover.
Beacon Silver Dead Nettle thrives in part shade to full shade and performs best in moist, well-drained soil. Easy to grow and low maintenance, it spreads steadily to suppress weeds while adding texture and brightness to difficult planting areas. Its colourful foliage and long-lasting appeal make it a valuable addition to both traditional and contemporary garden designs.
