Lavandula angustifolia ‘Aromatico Blue’ (also known as ‘Lablusa’) is a beautiful, fragrant evergreen shrub prized for its silver-grey foliage and abundant spikes of deep violet-blue flowers. This compact, bushy selection blooms several weeks earlier than many other lavender varieties, providing an early and extended display of colour and fragrance.
Native to the Mediterranean region, this attractive lavender is an excellent choice for herb gardens, perennial borders, rock gardens and decorative containers. Both its flowers and foliage are highly aromatic, making it a popular addition to sensory gardens and outdoor living spaces.
‘Aromatico Blue’ thrives in sunny positions with excellent soil drainage. It is relatively drought tolerant once established and benefits from light pruning in early spring to maintain a neat, compact shape. Avoid cutting into old woody growth, as lavender may struggle to regenerate.
