Leptospermum ‘Aphrodite’ is a beautiful Australian native shrub with a naturally bushy habit and lush green foliage that provides a striking backdrop for its abundant bright pink flowers. Blooming prolifically in spring, it creates an impressive seasonal display while providing valuable nectar for bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects.
Growing to around 2.5m tall and wide, ‘Aphrodite’ makes an excellent screening plant and can also be trimmed into an attractive hedge. It tolerates both damp and dry soils and responds well to pruning, allowing it to be maintained at a smaller size when required. For best results, prune after flowering and grow in a sunny to partly shaded position in temperate climates.
