Leptospermum laevigatum is a fast-growing Australian native valued for its dense evergreen foliage, hardy coastal performance, and attractive masses of white flowers. Its soft grey-green leaves create a lush screening effect year-round, while the profuse spring flowering display adds brightness and habitat value to the landscape. This versatile species can be grown as a large shrub or small tree, making it suitable for hedging, screening, windbreaks, and feature planting.
Extremely tough and adaptable, Coast Tea Tree thrives in coastal gardens, sandy soils, and exposed sites where many other plants struggle. Once established, it is highly drought tolerant and requires minimal maintenance, making it ideal for large landscapes, habitat restoration, and low-maintenance native gardens. Its dense growth habit also provides excellent shelter for birds and wildlife.
