Leptospermum ‘Rudolph’ is a striking Australian native shrub admired for its distinctive burgundy-purple new growth and large, vibrant red flowers. As the foliage matures, it develops attractive dark green tones, creating a beautiful contrast with the colourful blooms. Flowering mainly in summer, often around the Christmas period, this eye-catching tea tree brings seasonal colour and texture to the garden while attracting bees, butterflies and other nectar-feeding insects.
Fast-growing, hardy and versatile, Leptospermum ‘Rudolph’ is an excellent choice for screening, hedging, feature planting and mixed native gardens. Its dense, upright growth provides privacy and structure, while its colourful foliage ensures ornamental appeal beyond the flowering season. Adaptable to a range of soil types, this low-maintenance shrub performs best in a sunny position and responds well to pruning after flowering to encourage dense growth and maintain an attractive shape.
