Libertia paniculata is an elegant grass-like perennial valued for its graceful, arching strap leaves and delicate star-shaped white flowers. It forms a soft, clumping habit that brings lightness and movement to shaded and semi-shaded garden spaces, particularly in rainforest-style or cottage plantings.
Flowering in spring, its sprays of white blooms stand above fresh green foliage, attracting butterflies and beneficial insects. This hardy perennial thrives in moist, well-drained soils and can be cut back hard if it becomes untidy, reshooting strongly from underground rhizomes for renewed vigour.
